Keeping Pace with Progress: Sandeep Deva's Personal Insights from #AppliedNet2025 and Exdion’s Role in the Intelligent Insurance Era

What an incredible confluence of the latest technology and the brightest of minds at the Applied Net User Group Convention in Las Vegas this week! Every year (since 2017), I’m always impressed by the new innovations showcased both by Applied Systems and the innovative sponsors and partners — and this year raised the bar even higher with its timely and apt theme, “The Intelligent Insurance Era.” 

Just as in the past many years, Team Exdion had a great time connecting with amazing insurance professionals. This year marked an important milestone for us, as we received a fantastic response to our newest product, ExdionEyeQ. 

Reflections from #AppliedNet2025 — Innovation, AI, and the Future of Insurance

Applied Systems unveiled a powerful set of improvements and transformational tools that target converting the traditional “System of Record” to the need of the hour — “System of Action.” Applied Systems’ leadership and technology teams, in my opinion, have done a tremendous job in pivoting to an interactive, action-focused path forward. Each one of their announcements and launches — like Applied Max, Book Builder, Recon, etc. — will build a powerful broker experience in the coming months and years as they become available. 

In this context of AI becoming reality and moving beyond the hype cycle, I reflect on Exdion’s suite of products and solutions that have consistently been ahead of their times. We launched Exdion Policy Check, the industry’s first AI engine for policy checking, in 2018. We had to invest far more than we had anticipated in getting agencies to believe that technology could even be a solution for policy checking. Fast forward to 2025 — AI has meaningfully addressed policy checking (we have over 3,250 CSRs on our platform, processing millions of documents from many of the largest brokers) and has helped agencies repurpose offshore teams and, in many cases, significantly reduce outsourcing spend. 

With ChatGPT and the many other “co-pilots” redefining how we work, the insurance world needed a secure, industry-ready AI. That’s where ExdionEyeQ steps in — it analyzes policies, identifies variances, and auto-generates endorsements, cover letters, and X-ray summaries — all with a single click. What once took hours now takes minutes. A true game-changer for CSRs and Account Executives.
